There are two things you should probably know about me:
- I love country music.
- I’m a huge fan of spontaneous dance parties.
In fact, I’m a firm believer that when the day starts getting out of hand, and Em’s mood is going sideways, one of the best solutions is to throw on some country jams and dance our hearts out! My big belly + his wild sense of rhythm usually has us both laughing and in better spirits in no time. (If you haven’t tried this with a cranky kiddo – you need to. It’s seriously my #1 mom tip. I promise you’ll both be in a better mood before you know it!)
And since I’ve officially converted everyone in my household to country music fans (yep, even the dog), I love finding new artists to add to our playlist.
So, my PSA for you this week is all about Carly Pearce and her new album Every Little Thing. If you love a good country tune, and you haven’t heard of her, check this out ASAP:
In my opinion, she’s a modern mix of Faith Hill and a slightly softer Miranda Lambert – and her sass and lyrics are pretty stellar. Plus, she loves wine… so we’re basically soulmates (you know, when I’m not pregnant).
Currently on our playlist are the tracks Every Little Thing and Hide the Wine – classic slow jams that you can totally twirl with a toddler to!
