It’s finally hot! And given the dreary, chilly start to the summer, the last thing we want to do is complain about the warmth.
But a pregnant lady feeeeeeeels the heat in a way that no person should. You know, like with a dewy face, and swollen ankles. This is our second time enduring the heat in the middle of our pregnancy, and this time around we’ve found some super cute ways to beat the heat! The best part??? Most of these fab finds work whether you’re pregnant or not!
So here’s what we’ll be enjoying all summer long:
- This super cute wide-brimmed straw hat from Joe Fresh is basically a summer must-have for us. It’s flexible enough to fold up in a diaper bag, and keeps your face cute and shaded on those really hot days in the park. Oh, and it’s on sale right now…. So run!
- S’well water bottles are a must-have for summer in our house. We have a mama version (to stay hydrated when lugging a toddler around), a daddy version, and even a tiny version for Em. They’ll keep your water cool, and keep you from feeling sun-stroked on those sunny days!
- A staple little black (maternity) dress that can take you from day to night on a hot summer day (even with a baby belly in tow) is essential to feeling cool and comfy. This adorable number from H&M with crossed back straps is just perfection.
- Have an outdoor concert coming up? Or a beach day with the kiddos? Can’t figure out how to get your big ol’ pregnant belly comfy sitting on the ground? We’ve got you. The Fatboy Lamzac lounger is our dream come true. We fill it with air, throw it on the dock/grass/deck and lounge away for comfy summer days!
- A must-have in our diaper and make-up bags, this Aveeno Fresh Essentials moisturizer is lightweight and has 30 SPF protection built in. It’s a one-stop-shop for skincare that we never go without in the summer months… because nothing ruins a fun day out like a volcano-hot sunburn and skin damage.
- I can’t tell you enough how much we love Sanuk sandals. These are their Yoga Sling sandals and they’re super cute, AND ridiculously comfortable – even for those swollen tootsies! The foot beds are made out of recycled yoga mats, and are seriously the softest, squishiest things ever. We may, or may not, have two different styles of these already…
