It’s a new year, and we’ve transitioned from Holiday mode (pj’s all day, and no shame) back to regular life at what feels like warp speed! While I’m sad to see the Holidays go, I also secretly love getting back into a routine, and planning the year ahead (I’m a SERIOUS planning nerd… just ask my hubby, or look at my planner for evidence). While we didn’t make traditional resolutions, we’ve decided that 2017 for us is going to be about focusing on Quality. Personally, that means investing in quality time spent with family and friends, and blog-wise Quality translates to us finding the very best content for you guys! Researching, testing and sharing Quality content that’s truly going to be life-changing for all of you is what it’s all about.
We wanted to choose our first ABC review of 2017 carefully, and frankly we couldn’t think of a product that fit better with our Quality theme than the OVer. So friends, take note, and get ready to put one of these bad boys on your Baby Shower shopping list for every new mama you know! Read on…
What Is the OVer?
The OVer is a baby must-have, that will take you from newborn through to toddlerhood. It’s a multi-use, car seat/stroller/nursing/shopping cart cover that will make life with your little one easier, and provide some serious baby style.
AFFORDABILITY:
The OVer is priced at $50 (CAD for my Canadian mamas!). Well, we’ve done some digging, and have found other car seat canopies on the market for around $40. So, what’s the difference? The OVer isn’t just a car seat canopy. It transitions from infant car seat, to toddler stroller seat cover, to nursing cover, and unbelievably to shopping cart cover (really… we tested it!). Buying a device for each one of these functions separately could cost you upwards of $100… which makes the OVer a seriously good deal!

- The OVer takes 3 (or 4!) useful products, and combines them into one functional, stylish, and ridiculously useful product! Mega points from us for reducing the number of things we need to buy and cart around with us!
- Not only does the OVer eliminate the need for me to wipe the shopping cart down in the parking lot with baby wipes (I’ve done it…), but it also let’s our toddler nap easily on the go in his stroller. Babes don’t outgrow on-the-go naps just because they’ve outgrown their infant seat! It fits over the toddler seat in our UppaBaby Vista like a charm (we just tucked the footrest up and wrapped the OVer around it).
- Not only does the OVer eliminate the need for me to wipe the shopping cart down in the parking lot with baby wipes (I’ve done it…), but it also let’s our toddler nap easily on the go in his stroller. The first time we used ours as a shopping cart cover (we have the Legacy Stripe), I was asked about it by the mom behind me in the checkout line – I’m not exaggerating on the cuteness.
CREATIVITY:
The OVer design is a work of creativity itself (have I mentioned it’s versatility?!). That being said, one of our favourite parts of the OVer story is less visible. The OVer was created by Sabrina after one of her sweet little ones spent time in the NICU. She was looking for a way to keep her babe germ-free, but was very concerned about proper ventilation and function – necessity is the mother of invention! Needless to say, babes of all shapes and sizes have benefitted from the OVer’s design since, and a portion of the proceeds of each sale still go to support Sabrina’s local NICU. We love a business that finds a way to give back, and the fact that the recipient is the very inspiration for the design in the first place… well that’s just about perfect.
